The Okinawa Diet : the key to longevity

http://www.ibtimes.com/okinawa-diet-may-be-key-longevity-help-you-live-100-years-old-1339999

The people who live in Japanese Okinawa islands have the world’s longest life expectancy. Indeed, a lot of people live more than a century.

That’s why this article deals the question if it's the Okinawan diet which is the key longevity.

Also, market research shows that the Okinawan diet reduces cardiovascular disease, cholesterol, blood pressure and cancers.

The idea of the Okinawa diet is to eat:
-          *3 pieces of fish per week
-          * Low meat diet
-          * plenty of whole grains
-          * A lot of vegetables
-          * A lot of soy products: tofu
-          * Seaweed
-          * Bamboo shoots
-          * Pickles
-          * Small cubes of pork belly
-          * Drink green tea

However, doctors say’s that’s the Okinawa diet it’s not enough, other factors influence the longevity like:
-          * DNA
-          * Habitual behavior
-          * Family history
-          * Physical activity
-          * Climate

-          … and many more factors

My point of vue:

In my point of vue, today it’s difficult to eat healthy with increase of agro-food industry.

Prepared meals, soft drinks, appetite suppressants which we become accustomed gradually are indeed quite the opposite of a balanced diet and endanger our health.

Today it’s difficult to resist the temptation of fast food which are implanted everywhere. We are driven to excessive consumption of bad qualities.

That’s why, today, more and more people are affected by cardiovascular diseases and cancers. So we haven’t choice, we must improve our lifestyle and we can take example on Okinawan diet.

But I agree with doctors: Okinawan diet it’s good but not enough to prevent those diseases.

I think this article is very interessant because it’s show’s that Okinawan diet has a powerful impact on health and on longevity.
